Arrival & Day

Your 7-Day Kilimanjaro Trek adventure begins when you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Our transfer driver will be waiting for you — don't worry if customs take longer than expected.

Once you arrive at your comfortable hotel in Moshi, you'll have time to relax and freshen up. Later, your will meet you for a thorough equipment check and a full pre-climb briefing to answer any last-minute questions. If you arrive late at night, we'll complete these steps the next morning.

Day 1: Drive to Umbwe Gate & Begin the Ascent

After breakfast, you'll drive to Kilimanjaro Umbwe Gate where you'll complete park registration. Your trek begins with a steep forest trail winding through Kilimanjaro's lush rainforest. Keep an eye out for monkeys, birds, and unique plant life as you make your way to Umbwe Cave Camp.

Day 2: Ascend the Umbwe Ridge to Barranco Camp

Day 5: Trek to Barafu Camp on the Southern Circuit

Continue along the stunning Southern Circuit, circling beneath Kibo's impressive glaciers. Arrive at Barafu Camp, your base for the summit push. Have an early dinner and settle in for rest before your midnight departure to Uhuru Peak.

Day 6: Summit Uhuru Peak & Descend to Mweka Camp

Your summit day begins just after midnight. Trek through the dark and cold, crossing between Rebmann and Ratzel Glaciers, and scramble up to Stella Point. Witness a magical over Mawenzi Peak before the final push to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) — the highest point in Africa!

After a short celebration and photos at the summit, begin your descent down the Mweka Trail to Mweka Camp, where you'll enjoy well-earned rest.
