10 Days Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar- Beach holidays

Upon your arrival, you will be greeted and driven to the hotel where you will stay for one night in an executive room with bed and breakfast included. The Hotel Slipway is a convenient overnight option situated on the exclusive Msasani Peninsula, right on the Indian Ocean with a view of the Msasani Bay. This upscale neighborhood offers a variety of restaurants and shopping opportunities.

The 10 Days Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar begins today. In the morning, you will be transferred to Dar es Salaam Airport for your flight to Nyerere.

Upon arrival, a representative from Selous Serena Camp will meet you and drive you to the lodge. You will be staying at the camp for the next two nights in a luxury safari tent with all-inclusive amenities. This includes full board meals, all drinks (excluding champagne and premium brands), laundry service, two safari activities per day, and all game reserve fees. Selous Serena Camp is a high-quality permanent lodge located in a remote area within Nyerere National Park, which is an expansive and significant park.

The camp offers comfortable accommodations along a small stream, a pleasant swimming pool, and twelve guest rooms that provide a high level of traditional comforts. This particular area has minimal vehicle traffic. Activities at the camp include vehicle safaris and walking safaris. Wildlife viewing is especially remarkable during the dry season from June to November, while the reserve remains beautiful to visit during the contrasting green season from December to March.

You have a full day on safari from Selous Serena Camp. The park is vast, approximately the size of Switzerland, and its untamed beauty is unparalleled. Your safari activities for the day will be arranged with the camp manager the previous evening, giving you flexibility to choose between a bush walk, game drive, or boat safari.

Today is another full day on safari. The park covers around 45,000 square kilometers of wilderness, encompassing grassy plains, open woodlands, mountains, and forests. Nyerere National Park is Africa’s newest national park, three times the size of South Africa’s Kruger National Park and twice the size of the Serengeti National Park. It is also one of Tanzania’s three World Heritage Sites. During your game drive, you will make your way to the next lodge, an upgrade to Mivumo River Lodge, where you will stay for the next two nights with all-inclusive amenities.

You have one more full day on safari in Nyerere National Park. If you’re interested in a river boat safari, today presents a perfect opportunity to explore the Mivumo River Lodge on a motorboat. Mivumo provides the same 4-seater vehicles as its sister camp, ensuring privacy and a personalized safari experience. Nyerere National Park is known for being home to a significant population of elephants, and it remains an excellent place to observe these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. The park also boasts large populations of crocodiles, hippos, spotted hyenas, and leopards, among other big game species.

This morning, you will fly to Pangani, where you will be met upon arrival and driven to The Tides Lodge. You will be staying in the Beach Cottage for the following four nights with an all-inclusive package, including meals, laundry service, cocktails, wines, beers, and soft drinks.

The Tides Lodge is a top-quality beach lodge located in a relatively secluded area, offering a viable alternative to Zanzibar. It provides ample space, beautiful beaches, and offshore sandbanks and reefs. The service at the lodge is elegant and discreet, and there are pleasant waterfront public areas, a lovely swimming pool, and ten charming guest rooms. A wide range of activities is available to keep you entertained and active.

You have three full days to enjoy the location of The Tides Lodge. You can relax on the beach or participate in additional activities offered by the lodge. School tours, village walks, turtle hatching, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding are all available free of charge. Optional activities include snorkeling trips, fishing and river cruises, dhow cruises, and historical tours.

This is the End of 10 Days Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar. On this day in the  morning after breakfast, you will have a time to spend at the beach before being driven to the airstrip to catch your flight back to Dar es Salaam.
