Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. Check-in to your hotel and take some time to relax. In the evening, immerse yourself in the vibrant city life of Nairobi. You can enjoy a nightcap at the rooftop bar while overlooking Nairobi National Park. Start your day with a delicious breakfast before on a journey to Mount Kenya National Park. Arrive at Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club in time for lunch. This luxurious hotel is nestled in the beautiful foothills of Mount Kenya, offering breathtaking views of the mountain and surrounded by 100 acres of landscaped gardens. Mount Kenya, the second tallest mountain in Africa, boasts stunning scenery with lakes, glaciers, dense forests, and unique wildlife. Activities here include camping, cave exploration, game viewing, bird watching, and mountain climbing. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at the hotel.

After breakfast, we will head north towards Samburu National Reserve, located in the northern region of Kenya. Along the way, you will be treated to spectacular landscapes. Arrive in time for lunch, take a brief relaxation, and then embark on an afternoon game-viewing drive. Samburu is known for its endemic northern species, such as the gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, and zebra. In the evening, return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive, experiencing both morning and evening drives in Samburu National Reserve and Buffalo Springs National Park. These reserves offer sightings of elephants, gazelles, rare birds, and ostriches. Later, return to the camp for dinner and spend the night.

Enjoy breakfast before departing south for a scenic drive towards Mount Kenya. Arrive at your camp in time for lunch and check-in. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. This conservancy is home to the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and the last remaining northern white rhinos. Witness rescued chimpanzees and get up close to the rare northern white rhinos. You’ll also encounter other species, including southern white rhinos and plains game like warthogs and ostriches. Experience spectacular sunsets and spend the night at the luxurious Ol Pejeta Bush Camp.

Start your day with an early morning game drive, followed by breakfast. Then, embark on a safari to Lake Nakuru National Park with a brief stop at Thompson Falls to admire the breathtaking scenery. Arrive at Lake Nakuru for lunch and check-in at The Cliff. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, where you can spot rare Rothschild giraffes and white rhinos along the lake shore. The park is also a sanctuary for one of Kenya’s largest populations of black rhinos. Dinner and overnight stay will be at The Cliff Nakuru.

After a hearty breakfast, begin your safari to the magnificent Maasai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival at Zebra Plains, you will be welcomed with a mocktail and served a delicious lunch. This afternoon, we will deviate from the norm and embark on a guided walking safari within the expansive camp property. In the evening, enjoy a legendary sundowner (additional cost of USD 75 per person). After dinner, retire early to prepare for an early morning the next day.

After an early and sumptuous breakfast, and with a packed picnic lunch, depart for a full-day game drive in the vast Maasai Mara. You will also have the option to enjoy a morning Hot Air balloon safari (additional cost of USD 550 per person). As part of the day’s itinerary, you will visit a Maasai village, where you can interact with the Maasai people, experience their rich culture through enchanting dances and traditional beadwork, and learn about their family and socioeconomic structures.

On our last for 9 Days Kenya Midrange Safari Adventure, enjoy breakfast and check out of Zebra Plains. Our incredible bush moments come to an end, but the memories will stay with us. Bid farewell to the hotel team and embark on our safari back to Nairobi, arriving in time to catch your flights. Our experienced guide driver will drop you off at JKIA for your onward flight.
