Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed and received by a representative from Hazzes Adventure Safaris who will then transfer you to your hotel. Bed and Breakfast.
The 10 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari begin after breakfast, you will depart Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park arriving in the afternoon. Kibale Forest is a large protected block of rainforest, which has the highest number of primates in Africa such as Chimpanzees, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Red Tailed monkey and Red Colobus.
This morning, you will go for chimp tracking down the forest trails where you’ll get to see chimps swinging on trees making it an exhilarating experience. Spend the whole morning in the forest returning to the lodge in time for lunch.
Later in the evening, you will have the opportunity of a guided walk-through Bigodi Swamp. Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is managed by the Kibale Association for Rural and Environmental organisation formed in 1992 with the aim of achieving social and economic development for local communities.
After breakfast, you will depart Kibale and then head for Queen Elizabeth National Park having a game drive while entering the park arriving in the afternoon. Relax and later go for an early evening game drive.
This morning, we will go for a game drive to the Kasenyi area returning to the lodge in time for a heartily breakfast.
Relax and then later go out for the afternoon boat trip along the Kazinga Channel. Hippos huff and spray mere feet away from the boat, Buffalos linger in the shallows, a tremendous variety of birds grace the grasses on the shores.
After breakfast, you will have a game drive as you depart Queen Elizabeth for Bwindi impenetrable national park arriving in the afternoon. Upon arrival you will be checked in at Lake Mulehe Gorilla Lodge where you will be spending the night in preparation for your gorilla trekking activity on the following day.
This morning you will have to wake up very early to get ready for Gorilla tracking. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. There are now only a little over 1,000 left in the world! Uganda boasts of 53.9% of these mountain gorillas.
Leisure day or you can choose to go for optional activities below:
Optional coffee experience where you will get to go through the coffee plantation, roast and brew your own coffee.
Or go for a canoe boat on Lake Mutanda or Lake Mulehe returning to the lodge in the afternoon. Relax and later have a cultural dancing and storytelling session.
After breakfast, you shall transfer to Lake Mburo National Park arriving in the afternoon. You will be checked in at Kigarama Wilderness Lodge for your stay before you get to explore Lake Mburo National Park. While at the lodge you will also have an opportunity of engaging with the local community through optional activities such as visiting the ankole cows and learning how to milk the cows and also embracing the culture or ways of life of the Ankole people.
Your Adventure for 10 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari continue. After breakfast, have game drive or an optional guided forest walk and then proceed to Entebbe having a stop to look at the Royal Drum makers, the Equator – where you will be able to stand and be on both hemispheres at once arriving Entebbe Airport in the evening to catch your flight.
