8 DAYS ZANZIBAR BEACH AND SAFARI

We will pick you up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam at 7:00 am and begin the 5-hour road trip to Mikumi National Park. On the way, you will enjoy the view of the Uluguru Mountains, the sisal plantations, and the people in the Morogoro area (no stopping). You will take a quick lunch stop on the way, then continue with the trip and arrive at the Mikumi area at around 2:00 pm. You will go straight to Mikumi National Park for the evening game drive until sunset, then you will have your dinner and overnight stay at your lodge. This is one of the best game drives because it combines safari and sunset.

On these two days, you will start the game drive early in the morning at 6:30 am. The morning times are the best for viewing the animals because they are very energetic and also the sunrise makes the scenery very amazing. You will eat your breakfast inside the park and continue the game drive with your picnic lunch. After lunch, continue with the game drive until sunset when you will check out and go to your lodge for your dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Soon after your breakfast, you will start your trip to Zanzibar via Dar es Salaam. You will arrive in Dar es Salaam at around 2:00 pm, and you will catch your 4:00 pm ferry to Zanzibar. You will arrive at your destination in Zanzibar at around 6:00 pm, where you will meet our driver at the ferry station waiting for you. The driver will take you to Stone Town, where you will enjoy your dinner and overnight sleep at Forodhani Park Hotel (or similar).

After eating your breakfast at the hotel (breakfast is included), you will be picked up by our driver at around 10:00 am to begin a trip to Prison Island using a traditional dhow. Here, you will visit the historic Prison Island with its giant land tortoises, where you will be able to observe and feed the tortoises. Also, you will be able to swim, sunbathe, snorkel, and just relax on the beach.

Soon after the Prison Island tour, you will begin the Stone Town walking tour, where you will walk around the historical culture and architecture that is very important to the town of Zanzibar with a century of history. You will visit the former slave market site which now stands as an Anglican church built in 1871, The House of Wonder (built-in 1883), and many more. You will eat your lunch during the tour.

Later in the evening, you will be transferred to the Sunset Kendwa Hotel (or similar), which is a beachfront hotel located in Kendwa Beach.

At 7:00 am, you will be picked up from your hotel and begin the Safari Blue tour. This is a full-day cruise on a shared traditional dhow at the southern coastline of Zanzibar. During this trip, you will enjoy snorkelling at a sandbank, swimming, relaxing, exploring Kwale Island, drinks, and a seafood buffet. You will eat your buffet seafood during the tour (included).

Later in the evening, you will be transferred to Sunset Kendwa Hotel (or similar) for your dinner and overnight sleep.

Today, you will rest at the hotel by the Indian Ocean beach doing nothing but chilling by the beach. You can hang out at restaurants, bars, or just at the beach. You can also be transferred to the Nungwi aquarium so you can swim with the turtles, and hang out by the restaurants and bars watching the sunset in the Nungwi area (about 10 minutes by taxi).

Today is the End of our 8-Days Zanzibar Beach and Safari package in Tanzania. After breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and be transferred to the Airport. Our driver will pick you on time depending with your flight time.
