You will be collected from the airport and transferred to your hotel in Arusha (1 hour drive and Briefing about 10-Day Serengeti and Maasai,Mara Safari will be done today at the Lodge  ). Depending on your arrival time, you will have an opportunity to explore the hotel grounds, go for a dip in the swimming pool or partake in any of the offered additional activities available.

10-Day Serengeti and Maasai, Mara Safari Start today. Tour will set off after breakfast, with the first stop being the town of Arusha for some last-minute purchases, before we head off on an exciting safari experience… We will travel towards the Tarangire National Park, where we stop for lunch and afterwards, our first game drive of the safari! Tarangire National Park is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the centre of the annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephant, 25,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebras.

We head towards Lake Manyara National Park for an early morning game drive. The spectacular national park is located at the north-western corner of Lake Manyara, a hallow soda lake, which lies at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. Manyara NP is not only known for its large flocks of flamingos, but also for the elusive tree climbing lions.

During the afternoon there will be optional activities at Mto wa Mbu village where you will take part in a cultural walk to learn about village life in the area. Meet the women who run the village tours and enjoy a delicious home-made traditional lunch. Spend the afternoon viewing wildlife along the main road that winds through a lush cool forest of Lake Manyara National Park, overgrown with ficus trees and covered with bromeliads. This area is truly stunning, as the western wall of the Rift Valley escarpment provides a gorgeous backdrop.

Our journey starts shortly after breakfast with a scenic drive up the Rift Valley escarpment to Ngorongoro Crater. On arrival we go through the registration process and descend to the floor of the world’s largest unbroken caldera for the most wonderful day of game viewing. We will have lunch at the designated picnic site at the side of the hippo pool and continue with a game drive as we drive up to the Ndutu area for overnight.

Our journey starts shortly after breakfast with picnic lunch box to Serengeti National Park. You will be going through Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority and we make a brief stop at Olduvai Gorge and the museum (Option) which documents the discovery of 1.8-million-year-old human-like fossils. Thereafter we head for the Serengeti National Park, game driving along the way to the campsite.

Today you will enjoy a full day game viewing exploring the endless plains of this magnificent place. The Seronera River is the life blood of the Serengeti in the dry season and this area is renowned for great game viewing all year round and is especially popular for sightings of the elusive leopard.

Accommodation: Camping at Seronera Public Campsite or similar (dome tent)

After breakfast you will have another full day game viewing exploring the endless plains of this magnificent place. The Seronera River is the life blood of the Serengeti in the dry season and this area is renowned for great game viewing all year round and is especially popular for sightings of the elusive leopard.

Accommodation: Camping at Seronera Public Campsite or similar (dome tent)

Early morning drive to Masai Mara which is to be found in Kenya. You will be crossing over at Isebania border. After clearance with customs, you will meet your driver guide on the Kenya side who will introduce themselves and from this point will be now guiding your tour. This will be a long drive and you will have picnic lunch en-route. Game drive on your way to the lodge/camp; Here like Serengeti we get to see some of the big fives. This is the traditional land of the Masai people, nomadic herders, who choose to live a traditional lifestyle and are permitted to graze their cattle in this area. The Masai Mara covers an area that includes the riverine forests along the banks of the Mara and Talek Rivers, acacia forests and the open plains of the savannah.

Today we spend the whole day game viewing in the world famous Masai Mara National Park. Here the various habitats are home to a great variety of game including lion, leopard, cheetah, zebra, wildebeest (gnu), giraffe, buffalo, jackal, Topi, gazelle, impala and elephant. Hippopotamus and crocodile are also plentiful in the rivers and the bird life is very abundant.

After an early morning breakfast, we will have a game drive en-route to Nairobi City. We will have stop-overs in the towns to give you a chance to buy souvenirs. We will arrive late in the afternoon. Afterwards we will take you the Airport or to your preferred hotel. This is the End of our 10-Days Serengeti and Maasai,Mara Safari Package in East Africa.
