TANZANIA EXPRIENCE SOUTHERN SAFARI-LONG JOURNEY.

Your Tanzania Experience Southern Safari-long journey begins, After your arrival at Dar es salaam airport, you will check in for your flight to Kigoma. Upon your arrival the guide will take you to Gombe via the boat. The ride takes about 2 to 2-and-a-half-hour drive and while on it you will be able to view the stunning scenery and view across the Lake Tanganyika. After your check in at the bandas you will have lunch then depart for the late afternoon tracking of chimpanzee. Gombe is famous for habiting Chimpanzee but apart from that other primate’s species can be found including vervet, Colobous monkeys and baboons. Later you will return to the bandas for dinner and overnight.

After morning breakfast collect your lunch boxes and depart for full day tracking of Chimpanzee. Lunch will be served at the top of the mountain followed by little rest before proceeding. If time allows you will climb to Kakombe Waterfalls in Gombe Stream National Park. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Morning after breakfast collects all your belongings and catch a boat back to Kigoma where upon arrival you will be taken to Ujiji where you will visit the famous Dr Living stone memorial. The memorial holds the history of Dr David Livingstone at Ujiji, slave trade and early colonization of Africa continent as well as history, culture and main activities of the indigenous of Kigoma region. After you will have lunch then start your journey to Mpanda.

Morning after breakfast departs for a full game drive in Katavi national park. Lunch will be served in the mid- day, then proceeding with the game drive until sunset where you will return back to the camp for dinner and overnight. Katavi national park is blessed with thousands of zebras, topi and impala. Hartebeest, giraffe, and Defassa waterbuck are also very common, there’s a large population of resident elephants, and some impressive herds of buffalo. Also, it is a great park for watching lion-buffalo interactions.

Another day of adventure, after breakfast collect lunch boxes and depart for the full day game drive, this day will be to extend the sighting places. Later in the evening drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Early morning breakfast before sunrise then collect your belongings and drive out of the pack and head to Mbeya. (Mind you the journey might take more than 12 hours of driving) You will have lunch in between then continue with the drive to Mbeya and upon arrival you will check in at the hotel followed by rest and dinner.

Early morning breakfast then depart to Lake Ngosi. Lake Ngosi is the largest crater Lake in Africa found near Tukuyu (RungNgwe district) and it is located on Ngosi peak on the Uporoto Mountains which makes part of Eastern Arc ranges. You will drive and stop at the edge of the Uporoto forest reserve at the foothills of the Uporoto range and from there you will walk for about two or more hours to the ridge where the lake lies at 200m below. You will be able to see animals like monkeys, many bird species and endemic species like Chameleon and Montana wild Banana trees.

Later you will descend and drive to Mpanga Kipengere game reserve for dinner and overnight stay. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

Early morning breakfast depart for a full day view of Mpanga Kipengere reserve. The reserve covers an area of 1,574squre km and it is famous for its unique flora and fauna. It is blessed with endemic species like Nosed Chameleon, Marsh widow, Njombe cisticola and Kipengere seedeater while the rare Fufumika bird has also been reported to be found within the reserve. Late evening you will drive to Kisolanza farm where you will have your dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast collect your belongings then drive to Ruaha national park using a shortcut route which does not include passing through Iringa town. Then upon arrival you will check in followed by lunch before proceeding with afternoon/evening game drives.

Ruaha is rich with lots of different animals eg; antelopes, giraffes, Buffaloes, Lions, Leopard, Elephants, Chee- tah and lots more to be offered.

Early morning breakfast then depart with your lunch boxes for a full day game drive. lunch will be served in the picnics site in the park followed by little relaxation then proceed with game drive until evening time where you will drive back for dinner and overnight.

Early walking safari with park guide and 2-armed ranger for protection which will start at 0630 until 0930 then come back for breakfast which will be served at the restaurant. After breakfast you will collect all your belong- ing and drive to Udzungwa with game drive on your way out. Upon arrival you will check in at the hotel fol- lowed by rest and dinner.

After early morning breakfast you will collect lunch boxes and depart for a full day trekking on Udzungwa mountain National Park. After a long trekking you will be able to enjoy and refresh on the natural swimming pool at the top of the mountain. Lunch will be served at the top of the mountain. Later you will descend the mountain and drive to Mikumi for dinner and overnight

After morning breakfast, you will collect your lunch boxes for a full day within the park. Mikumi is unique for its African wild dog population as well as it is the park with the largest population of antelopes. Apart from that Mikumi is also blessed with animals like giraffes, lions, kudu, reedbuck, buffalo, warthog, waterbuck, zebras and over 400 species of birds.

Morning after breakfast you will collect all your belongings and drive to Selous Game Reserve. After arrival check in at the camp followed by lunch and little rest then after you will go for a boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River, which will bring you into close contact with hippos, crocodiles, and fantastic bird life. Crocodiles glide into the water as your boat approaches and hippos appear in frightening proximity, grunting and blowing steam.

Dinner and overnight will be at Selous Kinga lodge.

After your morning breakfast you will depart for a full day game drive at Selous Game Reserve. As you explore the Reserve by 4wd vehicle, you will have good photographic opportunities so it is time to make useful of that camera or phone you prepared for the shots. You will stop for lunch around noon where you will settle in one of the picnic sites so that you can enjoy your lunch and after lunch you will have little rest before proceeding with the afternoon/evening game drive until sunset

Today is the end of Tanzania Experience Southern Safari-long journey Package. After early morning hot African coffee go out for walking safari with local guide, enjoy the morning sunrise, learn different species of plants and their traditional uses, especially the medicinal ones as well as birds and animals at a very close distance. Also guided walk gives a room for a closer discussion through questions both local-cultures and connections of local people and their natural environment. And later walk back for a good breakfast, after breakfast pack your things and drive to Dar es salaam for drop-off
