A Hazzes Adventure representative will pick you up in Entebbe town or downtown Kampala and drive to Bwindi National Park. The drive will take about 8-9hrs to go through western Uganda’s significant towns of Masaka, Mbarara and Kabale. There are two scheduled stopovers along the way: the first one at the Equator crossing near Masaka for a coffee break and handicraft shopping. The second stop will be in Mbarara city for lunch. After the short stopover in Mbarara city, you will proceed to Bwindi National Park.

The 7-Days Uganda Gorilla trek Safari begins today. Drive to Bwindi National Park gate immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The national park guide will conduct the presentation covering what to expect during the gorilla trek. The national guide will assign the gorilla trekking group during the pre-trekking briefing. Other visitors will likely join you. The gorilla trek can take from a few to many hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest—dinner and overnight at Bwindi area lodge.

We will start the journey in the morning from Bwindi National Park and drive to Queen Elizabeth national park. The tour will take you through the stunning landscapes of western Uganda. You will arrive at Queen Elizabeth national park in the late afternoon.

On the way from Bwindi National Park, we will drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, popularly known for the tree-climbing lions.

You will start the day with an early morning breakfast at the lodge. Afterward, we proceed to the famed Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park to spot various species of wild animals. Kasenyi plains dwell in the vast savannahs of the Albertine rift in Queen Elizabeth National Park. It will be a morning full of adventure! Expect to encounter lions, herds of buffalos, elephants, Uganda Kobs, Topi, and bushbucks. While spotting the “Big Five” in the park is not guaranteed, on a lucky day, you may site leopards to make it the “Big Four.” We will return to the lodge for lunch and Kazinga channel boat cruise

After morning breakfast, you will drive to Kibale National Park via the famous Fort Portal crater lakes drive. The drive from Queen Elizabeth national park to Kibale National Park should take less than 4hrs. Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary: In the afternoon, visit the Bigodi wetlands sanctuary, a community-owned wetland known as a ‘birding paradise.’ Dinner and overnight at Kibale.

You will head to the Kibale forest immediately after breakfast to experience the habituation of the chimpanzees. If you are lucky on the trek, you might encounter other different species of monkeys in the Kibale forest. These include colobus monkeys, olive baboon, and red-tailed monkeys.

Transfer from Kibale National Park to Kampala. The drive from Kibale National Park to Kampala is estimated to take between 6&7hrs, depending on the traffic flow. This will be the end of 7-Days Uganda Gorilla trek Safari package.
